I meet Paul Revere several times on a rock n roll cruise. They were always the headliner and they were fantastic! My friend and I were in the first row one night when his feather came out of his hat. It landed at my friends feet. She picked it up and he came off the stage to our seats to retrieve that feather. It was very special to him. What great memories. RIP

I first met Revere in 1956 in Parma, Idaho where I worked at a furniture store and Revere purchased a barber shop next door to the furniture store. We started a friendship and Revere needed his master barber license when he branched out in Boise, Idaho with another shop. He asked me to be his model to get his masters license, which I did. Unknown at that time about his talents in music, I first knew Revere could play the piano at his birthday party. Revere at that time did not have a band and I was really impress with his talent. He got a kick out of putting thumb tacks in the strikers on the piano to get a honk-e-tonk sound. I have lived overseas now for many years and wish I could have been able to visit with Revere.

I feel like I lost a friend, my buddy and I worked the road crew in 1979 after graduating high school. What a wonderful and fun guy he was. I felt bad that he played up here in the cities just before he passed, I wanted so much to introduce my gal, and local twin cities author Kara Jorges to him. But were not able to make his last concert up here in the cities. I had told her what a fun guy he was, what a shame. I give all of Pauls family a virtual hug through the internet. First my deepest sympathy goes out to Paul's I then would like to extend my condolences to the Raiders both past and present, and to Paul's dear friends. Last, but far from least to his massive fan base. Paul had no way of knowing just how deeply he touched his fans, but he was truly one of a kind. His work with the Military, something he chose to do will always be one of the most outstanding things that he contributed to his country. He did not have to dedicate his time and money for them, but he did. My husband is a retired Navy Hospital Corpman, and a Vietnam Veteran. We wish we could have personally thanked Paul, but alas we were never able to see him or the Raiders perform live. But at least his family will know that albeit late in coming, we thank you, Paul Revere! Your music touched our generation, and I can remember sitting as close to the T.V. set as possible when Paul Revere and The Raiders were on. It didn't matter which show, you guys were the best! Somehow, I just know that you are having a blast up there in Heaven, rocking with those who passed on before you. You are sorely missed here on Earth.

After seeing that you were playing at Epcot in Disney World the day we went there my husband and I decided to it would be fun to see you. You changed my husbands life that day. You see, he was a Viet Nam veteran and had served with Special Forces. He never talked about his service and down played his duty. You spoke about the Viet Vets with such pride, respect, and compassion that for the first time in his life he realized that what he had done was NOT something to be ashamed of. John passed on Sept. 11, 2014 and is buried at the Dayton National Cemetery. Thank you for what you did that day, and I'm sure many, many other days. You were a voice for those who had been silenced for so many years by "unpopular" opinions. I am going to get another "Back to the Wall" c.d. since the one we got that day has become scratched and worn. Thank you for being such a great person.

This is a poem I wrote last night in memory of Paul. I don't know if it will post right or not.
In Loving Memory Of Paul
You got us through so many good and bad years
Your music gave us smiles and helped calm our fears
For all that met you or never did your love pushed you along
Your shows were given your all despite the pain you kept hid from your massive throngs
Now all around the world hearts are aching
You meant more than you ever possibly knew yet words can't come without voices breaking
Paul what can we say to thank you so much for all the joy and love
And if we tried would you hear us now from your organ in heaven above
Tears still steadily flow just as the day the news first was spread
You left behind so many other than family and friends who face this day with dread
Hopefully your spirit will rise up inside each of us and help find that smile
But know this Paul our hearts will eternally hold you and someday maybe each can sit with you for a good while.
RIP Paul We all love and miss you. At least you aren't in pain any longer.

To Pauls family, my thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow. I was just a young girl at Warm Lake, Id when Paul and the Raiders visited our next door neighbors-Johnny Arant and his folks. My girlfriend and I sat on the "big rock" up behind our two cabins and played PR&R records all afternoon on my battery operated record player! We were so in love! Mrs Arant invited us to come meet the "boys" We were beyond thrilled. Thankyou for those great memories and great music Paul, may you rest in peace!

To Paul's family: My husband Ron and I met Paul in Branson, MO at the Rock Ride Remember Motorcycle Rally. He was fun to be around and listen too. He had a wonderful smile and a way about him that just made you feel like he had known you forever! Of course, we also grew up listening to his band. All that he has done for our troops and Veterans is awesome. Everyone should be grateful that he and the band took the time to care. Thank you for sharing him with the world! He will be missed by all. May God comfort you in this time of sorrow. May your sorrow be replaced by special moments and memories with your loved one.

Over a HALF CENTURY ago, a carload of teenage girls from Ontario, Oregon, followed you and your band all over the Treasure Valley. Oh what a magical beginning that was for PR&R. The IOOF halls in Caldwell and Nampa, Miramar Ballroom in Boise, the Elks Lodge and the Armory in Ontario, all were home to some of the most fantastic shows ever. Wow it was more fun to watch you guys than to watch who we were dancing with! Thanks for the magic and the good times. Today, as we remember you and the band, we are all teenage girls once again, big smiles on our faces…headed off to one of your gigs. Thanks a million. What Class! Prayers for you and your family. RIP

What a beautiful legacy for this great musician, husband, father, friend, world influence to leave behind. Look at all the lively memories and generations he touched. How many can say they truly lived a full balanced life when compared to Paul Revere. He shared compassion, laughter, success, gratitude, allegiance and himself with everyone. His pride in son Jamie, and his daughter, Love for Sydney. All the warmth, love and prayers to his family hopefully will bring some peace and comfort. May the best of you keep living on. To have been such an eternal brilliant star, shine on, Paul. Shine on.
