Ross Warner Obituary

Nampa - Ross passed away peacefully at his home after a brief struggle with liver cancer. His family was by his side in the final days. Ross was born in Oregon and raised on a farm near Independence, where he lived with his father, R. C. Bud Warner, mother, Nadine Warner and sister, Jeannette Warner. In 1963 Ross graduated from Oregon State University and married his high school sweetheart, Susan Warden - they were happily married for 59 years and she survives him. Two sons were born to this union, Rod and Kyle - who both survive him. Completing ROTC in college, Ross began his enlistment in the Army which took him and Susan to Germany, where he served as an Army Artillery Officer. After discharge from the Army, Ross worked in agriculture as a mint buyer. It would turn out that he loved the job so much it didn't seem like work at all. He loved every day working as a purchaser of peppermint and spearmint oil from farmers in Montana, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington states. After nearly 30 years on the job, Ross retired as VP of Purchasing which encompassed growing regions in foreign countries and most of the contiguous US. Ross loved to travel, off road motorcycling, hunting, his family, and especially the Idaho desert. Throughout his 81 years, Ross was energetic and vibrant - a ready smile and cordial laugh always at the ready. He made friends everywhere he went. Military services at the Idaho State Veteran's Cemetery will be later this Fall.
