Vicki Kaye Volk

1954 - 2025

Homedale - Vicki brightened many lives being a wonderful wife, mother, Grand and Great mother and the best ever friend to all who knew and loved her.

Vicki was born January 21, 1954 in Greatfalls, Montana. She was the daughter of Charles E and Dolores Carpenter Cook. Vicki has two younger brothers Gary and Greg Cook. Vicki attended school in Homedale and graduated from Homedale High School.

She married Tim Volk November 25, 1972. Tim and Vicki were the proud parents of three children: Jacob Ryan, Nathan Micheal and Miranda Renee. Vicki was blessed with seven grandchildren: Janae, Avery, Terry and Shayde Volk, Ty, Emmett and Sydni Roland and one great granddaughter: Millie Volk.

The family learned the value of working together farming and raising cattle. Vicki was noted as a wonderful cook as her good meals drew great crowds at the brandings. She was the queen of shoppers and knew a bargain when she saw one and kept all her friends supplied. She was an outstanding community member and devoted many years as a 4-H Leader.

Vicki worked at WITCO in Nampa, Idaho for several years and made a lasting impact of friendship to co-workers and clients and to all she was around before retiring. Vicki made friends wherever she went and all who knew her were blessed with her quick wit and knowledge. She was an excellent seamstress and made professional outfits from wedding dresses to western attire.

Vicki always put others first and was a devoted friend. She lived each day being kind, forgiving and with a positive attitude always being the first to smile. When you think of Vicki with her optimism, laughter and love she still puts a smile on all our faces.

Vicki was preceded in death by her grandparents, her dad Charles E. Cook, and Step Father Sidney Harris.

She is survived by her Mother Dolores Harris, her Husband Tim Volk, Brother Gary and Greg Cook, children Jake and (Annette) Volk, Nathan Volk, Mandy and (Nick) Roland, Seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

A celebration of life will be held August 2, 2025 at 1:00 at the Homedale Basque Center. Lunch will be served following the service.
