Wyiley Parrish Obituary

Nampa - Our loving Father, Wyiley C Parrish passed away September 6, 2024.

He lived his best life until the end. He was the most loving, caring, kindest, giving, positive person you will

ever know.

The love of his family came first. He was always there with a helping hand, good advice, a shoulder to cry on, or whatever was needed. A big family he had! Four daughters, Sheryl, Pattie, Jody, and Lori. 9 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Wyiley was born Jan 4, 1936, in El Pasco Texas. They later moved to Idaho. Wyiley's Grandpa Denton bought a property on 22nd Ave. in Nampa and gave it to his Mother Ida. He grew up there and at 11 years old went to work at the grocery store across the street. He worked there for 20 years.

He went to school through the 9th grade until he was required to work full time at the store to help the family.

He purchased his first home for $3400 and was making $40 month. It was a cement blockhouse that he remembers being cold.

He met his wife Donna McDaniel and they married in June 1955. He was 19 and she was 16. They upgraded to a bigger home that was called the circle house. He paid $8000 and was making $100 month.

He met Donna through her brother Gene who was in the National Guard with him. Wyiley served from 1955-1962. He was in the Armored Calvary 123rd division. He was a Combat Engineer and was very proud of his service. He enjoyed being a tank driver.

Wyiley and Donna were very adventurous. They enjoyed camping, fishing, riding motorcycles, and hanging out in the mountains that Wyiley loved so much. He built a cabin in Crouch while in his 50's that his family enjoyed for over 20 years.

He was a dedicated grandfather, loved his grandchildren and went to as many of their events as possible.

He loved hosting and cooking holiday meals, and everyone was always welcome.

His love of music lasted a lifetime. In later years played in several, mostly Christian bands and at church, homeless shelters and many nursing homes.

He retired from Sysco for about one day. He got a job with Brown Bus and worked another 16 years.

He was a man of strong faith and his life reflected that every day. He never met a stranger. Every person in the world, to him, was just a friend he hadn't met yet. He always saw the good in people. Sometimes, that's all he would see, even if no one else could see it.

God speed Dad, AKA Coyoteman

We will miss Wyiley. He was such a kind and gentle soul....never had anything bad to say about anyone....and I never heard him complain about anything.
He made me several bird houses....the last one I had him sign for me....I will cherish it, and his momory....rest in peace my dear friend, you deserve it....

Wyiley was a very special part of our church family. His love of God and others was shared with us often, through his music and his friendly smile. We will miss him but so happy he is with our Lord tonight.
