A. Ronald Henderson
POCATELLO - A. Ronald Henderson, 73, Pocatello, Idaho, returned to our Heavenly Father June 4, 2007, in Pocatello, Idaho, following an illness.
Ron was born May 7, 1934, in Pocatello to Ashton Roy and Pearl Isabelle West Henderson. He attended Emerson Elementary, Irving Junior High and graduated in 1952, from Pocatello High School. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served a mission in Mexico.
He married his sweetheart, Joan Monson, on December 28, 1962, in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple.
In 1958, Ron served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, serving at Fort Eustis in Virginia, and Thule, Greenland.
Ron's life passion and hobby was photography, and had the unique pleasure of doing what he loved. As owner of Ashton Henderson Photography, he took great pleasure in capturing the beauty of nature and creating lasting memories with his portrait work.
He was a member of the Professional Photographers of Idaho and the Intermountain Professional Photographers Association.
He is survived by his wife, Joan M. Henderson; son, Kevin R. Henderson of Meridian, Idaho; daughter, Janell Ward (Thomas C.), and grandchildren, Jacob C., Bryant T., and Delanie Pearl Ward, all of Chubbuck, Idaho; and sister, Mary Anne Smith, nephews, Brad Smith (Dawn), Craig Smith and niece, Kara Heatherington (Jared), and Laura Brudenell (Logan), all of Boise.
Viewing will be held Sunday, June 10, 2007, at Downard Funeral Home at 241 North Garfield from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2007, at the LDS Chapel on Walnut and Jefferson, with Jonathan Vincent officiating. A viewing will be held at the church from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow the services at Mountain View Cemetery, with military rites provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.

Ron was a wonderful honest man. I enjoyed doing business with and talking to, about photography or anything. He will be missed among the photographic community. He was a truly genuine nice man. I will miss working with him.
