POCATELLO - Bonnie Eloise Rogerson Luker, 74, passed away of natural causes February 6, 2012, at her home surrounded by loved ones.
Bonnie was the first-born child of Eva and Howard Rogerson. She was the eldest of five children, a brother, Jerry, sisters, Carol, Elaine, and Nancy.
She married her high school sweetheart, Harold E. Luker on February 17, 1956, in Pocatello, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple March 5, 1957. They were blessed with 12 children, Arva Lynn, Julie, Janet, David, Craig, Dan, Wayne, Bryce, Lisa, Scott, LaVon, and Seth.
Faith and family were foremost in her life. Bonnie's extraordinary kindness and compassion were well known to her family and to the LDS community.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart of 56 years, Harold E. Luker; her devotion to family and faith live on in her 69 living descendants including 11 children, Julie (Devon) Smith, Janet (Austin) Turley, David (Cindy) Luker, Craig (Tammy) Luker, Dan (Kathy) Luker, Scott (Michelle) Luker, Wayne (Deanne) Luker, Bryce (Heidi) Luker, Lisa (Scott) Huffaker, LaVon (Scott) Miller, Seth (Breanna) Luker, 47 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry (Cathy) Rogerson; sisters, Carol (Dwight) Millward, and Nancy (Jason) Stinger. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Arva Lynn, and her parents, and a sister, Elaine Rogerson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012, at the LDS Valley View Ward, 1422 Gwen Drive, Pocatello, with Bishop Roger Hancock officiating. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. Fourth Ave., Pocatello, and one hour prior to the services at the church Saturday. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.Colonial-FuneralHome.com.
