Calvin Criddle Obituary

Calvin Wayd Criddle
POCATELLO - Calvin Wayd Criddle, 29, Pocatello, died June 3, 2009, at home from an apparent heart attack.
Wayd was born May 11, 1980 ,in Pocatello to Steven Jay and Joni Janeal Wilson Criddle. He graduated from Highland High School, class of 1998. In November of 2000, he welcomed the light of his life, daughter Bella Kayt. He always said she was the best thing he ever made.
He married his best friend and companion, Shawna Marie Kingston, July 22, 2005, in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho; she was everything to him.
Wayd enjoyed everything life had to offer especially his motorcycle. We will miss hearing him zoom by. When he wasn't out riding his motorcycle, he was soaking up every minute he had with his sweet daughter, Bella and wife, Shawna. Wayd took great pride in his garden, a hobby given to him by his grandparents, the late Calvin and Margene Criddle, to whom he was especially close.
Wayd knew how to put a smile on everyone's face. He was the first in line to lend a hand. Personable and genuine, he spoke from the heart. He had the ability to be in the moment with whomever he was with, crying or laughing. He will be missed by all those who were privileged to have had him touch their lives.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Wayd is survived by his wife, Shawna; a daughter, Isabella Kayt; his father, Steven (Keedrin) Criddle of Downey, Idaho; his mother, J.J. (Jack) Driever of Grady, New Mexico; grandmother, Ina Sickinger of Boise; grandfathers, Ken (Marilyn) Wilson of Bliss, Idaho, and Joe Frank (Lyle) Swensen of Grace, Idaho; three brothers, Jack W. Driever, Chayd Criddle, and Tayson Criddle; and four sisters, Bailey Criddle, Nika Criddle, Janette (Jason) Butler, and Jennifer (Eric) Jeffs. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Calvin and Margene Criddle, Gordon Bloxham, and Lois Hanson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 8, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening, June 7 and one hour prior to services Monday in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cambridge Cemetery near Downey, Idaho.

Shawna & Bella,
We were saddened to hear of Wayds passing. You are in our prayers. He was so generous and kind. I don't know if you remember the summer when you guys came to a birthday party when our little girl fell in a huge mud hole. We were far from home and Wayd without hesitation went home and brought back some clean clothes for our little girl. We have never forgotten. He will be greatly missed.

Shawna, Steve, and Family,
I once heard it said that "taking mourning from death, would be taking love out of life." Wayd will be greatly missed. His smile and compassion lit up all darkness. From the elementary play ground to mischief with bb-guns, a part of life that will not be forgotten. May you feel our love.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you in this time of great sorry. Wayd was a wonderful young man and taken from you far to soon. I remember him when he was young and then low and behold he married my niece. I just saw him two months ago and he put a smile on my face in another time of deep sorrow. He truly was a son to be so proud of.
