David Robert Pack
ST. CHARLES, Idaho - David Robert Pack, 57, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008, at his home from an extended illness.
He was the first child born to Robert Vernas and Edith Elaine Nelson Pack, June 12, 1950. David grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1969. He married Cora McGary, later they divorced, together they had one daughter Nicole.
On June 10, 1978, he married Kathy Bridges of Shelley. They made their home in Firth and spent 15 years in that area, their favorite being Goshen. They have seven children. In 1994 a new adventure came when they moved their family to St. Charles, Idaho, where they purchased the Minnetonka Market. They have resided there since.
David spent much of his life farming. He learned to love the land in his youth on his grandpa's farm helping milk cows, planting and harvesting. He had a great love for the outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish, and go camping. He loved horses, especially the Appaloosa. He raised many throughout his life. He was a member of The Intermountain Appaloosa Horse Club and served as president for a term.
David is survived by his wife Kathy, and their children, Kimberly Pack of Bountiful, Utah, Jennifer (Cliff) Rogers, of Blackfoot, Idaho, Tyra Pack, Logan, Utah, Tyrel Pack, who is stationed in Ft. Stewart, Ga., serving in the U.S. Army, Vanessa (Scott) Miller, Twin Falls, Idaho, Don Pack, and Tara Pack, St. Charles, Idaho..
David was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Pack, and stepmother, Eva Pack.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at 1 p.m. in the St. Charles LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Matthews Mortuary, 702 Clay St., Montpelier. There will also be a viewing at the church from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the St. Charles Cemetery.

We didn't know David had passed away until we spoke to you Kathy. We are so sorry.
We had so much fun with David. He made us laugh and feel happy. David was a high-light in our lives, and we always looked forward to visiting with him when we came into the store. We feel lucky to have known him and will miss him a lot.

Kathy,

We will always be grateful to you for your sweet kindess and help when Dave came each morning and night to milk our cows when our daughter had her accident.
