Our beloved son, brother, father, and friend passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 in West Jordan, Utah.
Jared was born Christmas Day 1977. He was special person to many and will be forever missed.
He loved his family and was a proud father. He served in the United States Air Force.
Jared is preceded in death by his grandmother Joan Sparks. He is survived by his daughter, Joseyln Sparks, son Jayden Sparks, son, Ty Gonzalez, parents, Michael and Lucinda Sparks, grandfather, Gordon Sparks, grandparents, Ray and Lucille Moore, sister, Camie (Cory) Christensen, brother, David (Becky) Sparks, brother, M. Aaron Sparks, and fiancé, Mary Cate Hennessey as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Previous wives are Jamie Beveridge and Carinda Sparks.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 2:00pm, and a viewing Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00pm as well as one hour prior to service time. All held at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 So. 4th Ave. Online condolences may be made at www.colonialfuneralhome.com.

I can always remember looking up to Jared when I was growing up. He was very likable and was someone who always made people feel welcome. I will miss him and remember him well. I am so sorry for those in his immediate family. My heart and prayers go out to them.

Jared was a carefree spirit. His smile gleamed mischievously and his eyes always sparkled. Although most of my memories were when I was really little and are vague, that is what I remember. If you can be remembered by a fabulous grin and a positive presence, I still think that says a lot about what kind of person he was. My love to you always Sparks family.

I have a really bad memory but, I remember one summer when my grandparents lived in Council ID and they had a huge hay barn. It seemed to me that almost all of my cousins were there at one point or another. Anyway me and Jared and Tim and Kurtis and a few others decided to build a fort out of the hay bails. So we worked on it for a good hour or more and when we were done it was actually pretty fantastic. I just remember that being a really good memory of Jared for me. After we got bored with the fort then we jumped off of top of the stack of bails and landed on it. I think if grandma would of caught us we would of been in trouble lol.
