Mark Dayley Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andrew Mark Dayley, a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, who left us on April 1, 2025, at the age of 60. Mark was born on August 7, 1964, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Morris and Connie Dayley. He spent his childhood on the family farm in the Portneuf Gap, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for life.

Mark met his soulmate, Kathryn Tolman Dayley, in Pocatello, and they exchanged vows on April 30, 1994. Their love was a shining light, and together they built a beautiful life filled with laughter and joy.

For 39 years, Mark dedicated his career to Idaho Power Company, where he worked diligently and earned the respect of his colleagues. His journey took him to the Treasure Valley, where he contributed his skills at the Boise stations facility.

Mark will be remembered not only for his dedication and loyalty but also for his remarkable sense of humor and the warmth he shared with everyone he encountered. He was a mentor to many, inspiring those around him with his kindness and compassion. Mark's legacy of love will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn (Tolman) Dayley; his father, Morris J. Dayley; brothers Jay (Lynette) Dayley and Randy (Becky) Dayley; and 21 cherished nieces and nephews who adored him. Mark is preceded in death by his mother, Connie Dayley.

A celebration of Mark's life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Wilks Funeral Home, located at 211 W. Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID. The viewing will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, ID.

In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in the love and memories we shared with Mark. He will forever be missed but never forgotten.

When I started with Idaho Power in 1978, Mark's mother Connie was so kind and welcoming to me. When Mark joined the IPCo family, he was a joy to work with. My heart is sad. God bless you, Mark.

I worked with Mark before he and his wife moved to the Boise area. You always knew Mark was in the building because of his laugh, he was so fun to be around and always had a smile on his face. Rest in peace my friend, you will always be in our hearts
