Matthew Armstrong Obituary

Matthew( Matt) Armstrong passed away at a local hospital on March 3 at the age of 49. He was born October 6 to his parents Bill and Wendy Armstrong. Matt attended Indian Hills school, Irving Jr. High, Pocatello High School and Cal Poly University where he played on a soccer scholarship He graduated from there in 1996 with a degree in accounting. After graduation he returned home to work with his Dad at the accounting firm of Deaton and Company. He remained there for 25 years.

Matt loved anything to do with the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, hiker, tennis player and golfer.

Matt is survived by his parents Bill and Wendy, brother, Nate and his two daughters Natalie, age 18 and Allison, age 16 whom he loved dearly.

A private family service will be held in Mackay at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to your favorite charity. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.cornelisonfh.com 208-232-0542
