Michael Leigh Obituary

Michael Richard Leigh, 34, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Pocatello, Idaho at his residence. He was born on July 2, 1984 in Portland, Oregon to Judy Stedtfeld Leigh.

As a young boy Michael enjoyed camping, fishing and riding his dirt bike with his family. His older brother, Jesse, was his best friend. Mike and Jesse loved traveling with their mom. Together, the three of them traveled around the country in their motor home, "The Beaver", making memories and exploring new places. The three of them moved to Pocatello, ID from Seattle, WA in 1995 where they established their forever home.

Soon Judy met Steve Honas and Steve fell in love with those boys as if they were his own. Their family was finally complete.

Mike graduated from Pocatello High School in 2003. After high school, Mike went to work for Kevin Smith at Video Lab. Mike loved doing home theatre installations, car stereos and satellite installs. Mike was very passionate about learning new skills in this area. Anything that he was passionate about he was able to accomplish.

Mike met Amber Laws in 2011 and together they had their beautiful child, Camren, on October 29, 2012. He loved his daughter with all his heart. Every time he was with her they were two peas in a pod. Even in his darkest times she was the light of his life. Today, her daddy is in heaven and she is holding him close to her heart.

Mike is survived by his loving parents, Judy Leigh and Steve Honas, Pocatello, ID; daughter, Camren, Pocatello, ID; brother, Jesse (Jenn) Leigh, Pocatello, ID; sisters, Christa (Colter) Honas-Lake, Pocatello, ID, Lilly Evans, Pocatello, ID, Samee (Phil) Engle, Boise, ID; brothers, Josh Honas, Pocatello, ID, Bobby McCreery, Pocatello, ID; nephew and niece, Blake Leigh and Roxy Lott, Pocatello, ID; all of his Carson/Hayes brothers; all the extended family and friends that loved him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Vicki Honas; uncles, Keith Honas and Craig Honas; grandparents, Dorthy and Jack Leigh and Harry and Helen Stedtfeld; and uncle, Richard Stedfeld.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 6-10 pm at Centennial Park, (S. Grant Ave. and Idaho St.) Pocatello, under the pavilion. It is going to be a pot luck so everyone please bring a dish if you can.
