Ray N. Keller
EMMETT - Ray N. Keller, 60, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 28, 2010, of natural causes.
Ray was born on November 18, 1949, to Loren Alva Keller and Donna Nielson Keller in Preston, Idaho. Ray grew up in Mink Creek, Idaho, on a ranch with three brothers and one sister. They had many happy times on the ranch working and playing hard. Ray enjoyed watching sports, skiing, hunting, fishing, horses and loved all animals.
Ray was a member of the LDS Church his entire life, where he held various callings. He enjoyed Scouting and being a home teacher.
Ray graduated from Preston High School and went on to college. He graduated from Idaho State University as a civil engineer. Ray then went on to work for the Idaho Transportation Department for 38 years. He loved his job, co-workers and traveling throughout the state of Idaho as a bridge inspector. He retired in 2008.
Ray married Kimberly Dursteler on September 3, 1976. Together they raised four children. Ray was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandpa and friend. He was always there for those in need and loved everyone!
Ray leaves behind his loving wife, Kimberly, of Emmett, Idaho; children, Trea Latimer of Meridian, Idaho, Mikki (Sam) Simon of Mountain Home, Idaho, Joshua (Heather) Keller of North Powder, Oregon, and KeRene Keller of Kuna, Idaho; his grandchildren, Loren James, Kassandra, Maria, Danielle, Cade, Haylynne; and his faithful buddy, Sport the dog.
Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Summer's Funeral Home, 3629 E. Ustick St., Meridian, Idaho. Additional services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at noon in the Mink Creek LDS Church in Mink Creek, Idaho. Friends may call Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Mink Creek Cemetery. 
In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to save your money because that is what Dad would want.

To Ray Keller's family, I worked with Ray for over 22 years at ITD. He was a very dear and sweet man and I enjoyed our conversations at work. He will be missed by many. My deepest condolences to all the family. I am sure God welcomed him to Heaven.
