Sam Ross Horton
POCATELLO - Sam Ross Horton, 56, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at his home in Pocatello, Idaho.
He was born December 11, 1955, in Pocatello to Samuel Horton and Wilma Smith Horton. Sam was raised in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School and Idaho State University.
Sam married Lori Brown and later divorced. He married Yvonne Youngblood and she preceded him in death. In 2008, Sam married Kathryn Aggeler.
His favorite activities were reading, riding his bicycle, camping, fishing, his pets, and collecting items. He was always there to help anyone in need.
Sam is survived by his wife, Kathryn Horton; daughter, Nichole Horton; stepchildren, Samantha and Klint; grandson, Tristan; and sister, Julie (Tom) Williams. He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Horton; mother and stepfather, Wilma and Irvin Nielsen; wife, Yvonne; sisters, Gayle Ruth Horton and Sonja Alexander; brother-in-law, James Alexander; and stepson, Dylin Stephens.
Memorial services will be held at River of Life Church at 6:30 p.m. on March 17, 2012. Condolences may be sent to Sam's family by visiting www.DownardFuneralHome.com.
