Sharon Wellman
IDAHO FALLS - Our precious mother, grandmother, and sister, Sharon May Gordon Wellman, 72, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away April 21, 2012, at her home of natural causes.
Sharon was born October 6, 1939, in Wapello, Idaho, to D.A. Gordon and Laura May Van Orden Gordon. She attended Groveland Elementary School and graduated from Blackfoot High School. She also earned her associates degree in bookkeeping from Idaho State University.
In 1960, she married Jerry Richard Norwood in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple and they later divorced. She married Albert Earl "Bert" Wellman July 8, 1975, in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. 
Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker to her five children, Bill, Cindy, Richard, Mike, and Eric. She worked as a bookkeeper at the INL, for the Post Register, and Norton Fruit. She also kept the books for Bert at their business, Holiday Market. Bert passed away May 24, 2002. She has since worked at Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership.
An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sharon served in Relief Society, Primary, and Young Women. She also coached basketball and softball. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Sharon enjoyed painting, photography, crafts, board games, the outdoors, boating, snowmobiling, and motorcycling. She loved horses and rode in the Bingham County Posse. Sharon was friendly and kind and made everyone feel at home with her.
Sharon is survived by son, William "Bill" Wellman of Idaho Falls, Idaho, daughter, Cindy (Darrell Christen) Dickerson of Bremerton, Wash., son, Michael Ray (Brenna) Wellman of Casper, Wyo., son, Eric (Cindy) Wellman of Rigby, Idaho, brother, Noel (Nancy) Gordon of Blackfoot, Idaho, brother, Bryan (Maureen) Gordon of Blackfoot, Idaho, sister, Carol Gordon of Grand Junction, Colo.; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Richard Noel Wellman, a grandson, Phillip Christopher Wellman, and a granddaughter, Shannon Paige Wellman.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at the Idaho Falls LDS Grandview Ward, 1450 Mountain View Lane, with Bishop Travis Wilkins officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be next to Bert in the Blackfoot-Grove City Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.woodfuneralhome.com.

I will always prize Sharon's friendship. Many great Sunday's were spent in her company. She will be missed. I was sorry to hear of her passing and of the loss to the family.
