Tammy Weaver Obituary

Tammy Kay Weaver, age 65, of Mackay, Idaho, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Tammy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose faith, kindness, and joy touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was married to her best friend, Chad Weaver, and together they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and strong Christian values.

She is survived by her children: eldest son Gerad Thomas (Mavanie), daughter Sheena Muir (Derreck), and youngest daughter Jessica Weaver. Tammy was a proud and loving grandmother to Shalee Zarate (Junior), Isaiah Thomas, Emree Thomas, Brezlynn Thomas, and Mila Muir. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she poured her heart into them every day.

Tammy dedicated 32 years of her life to the United States Postal Service, retiring at the age of 52. In her retirement, she embraced the things she loved most: studying God's word, sewing, gardening, and doing puzzles. She had a sharp wit and a curious nature, always eager to explore a good conspiracy theory.

Tammy was rarely still-whether she was writing community newspaper articles, raising chickens, playing cards with her friends, exploring the mountains, or zipping down trails on a four-wheeler with her family. Above all, Tammy's heart belonged to God. She loved teaching her children and grandchildren about the love and grace of Jesus Christ, living each day with a faith that never wavered and a spirit that lifted others.

Tammy will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her warmth, wisdom, and her unwavering love.

A celebration of Tammy's life will be held at 2pm Friday April 25, 2025 at Hawker Funeral Home 132 South Shilling Ave Blackfoot, ID 83221.

May God's promise found in John 6:40, of the hope to see our loved ones again, comfort your heart and give you peace, strength, and hope in the days ahead.

I always enjoyed working with Tammy at church when she and Chad lived in Blackfoot. Her positive spirit and great smile always brightened any task. An especially fond memory was a trip to Women of Faith conference. I´m truly sorry she is gone too soon.
