Thomas Clark Allen Ph.D.
September 25, 1938 - December 28, 2014
Dr. Thomas Clark Allen, 76, passed away at a local care facility on December 28, 2014. Dr. Allen was born in High Point, North Carolina. He attended the University of North Carolina where he earned a degree in Chemistry and was a graduate of North Carolina State University with a PhD. in Fiber and Polymer Science. Dr. Allen was an adjunct professor of chemistry at the University of North Carolina Asheville. He loved his work and was a brilliant research scientist, as well as, a wonderful father and grandfather. His mother, Ollie Belle Allen and his father, Harvey Allen, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Page H. Allen of Pocatello, his brother Jimmy Allen and wife Betty, his sister Susan Watson and husband Jerry all of High Point, NC; his children: Julie Melton, her husband Dan and their two children, Allen and Mason of Pocatello, ID; Dr. Clark H. Allen, his wife Crystal, and their two children, Kristina and Connor of Shelley, ID. A memorial service will be held in High Point, North Carolina. The family will receive guests at a reception in Pocatello later in the week.
