Andrew Kilpatrick Obituary

Andrew Lewis Kilpatrick 1976 - 2009 Andrew Lewis Kilpatrick, born July 19, 1976 to Stanley and Nancy Kilpatrick of Boise, Idaho, died on June 11, 2009 while vacationing with friends in San Diego, Calif. Andy grew up in Boise were he was educated and lived until 1996 when he moved to San Diego, Calif. to launch his career in web development at EMD Biosciences. In 2003 he moved from San Diego to Seattle, Wash. where he became Vice President of Technology and Information Services for HazSEC USA, Inc. Andy's death comes as a tragic loss to HazSEC USA as well as to the entire Security and Intelligence Communities tasked with protecting our great nation. Andy was a truly gifted person with the right balance of creativity, ingenuity, dedication, discipline, and humility. By far his best quality was his genuine concern for other people. Andy was the proud uncle of a niece and nephew who lovingly referred to him as "Uncle Poopstain." He loved God, family and his friends and he was loved by all. Andy is survived by his parents, Stan and Nancy Kilpatrick, his brother Peter Kilpatrick, (wife Kassie), niece McKenzie, nephew Zackarie, and grandmothers, Una Martin and Gwendolyn Kilpatrick. He is also survived by his very close friends and all of his Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2009, at the Boise Church of Christ, located at 2000 Eldorado Street, Boise, ID 83704 . In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Biblical Studies Center, 1025 Belmont Street, Boise, ID 83706. "When life gets really rough or really easy, I always try to focus on what the Lord is trying to tell me. I guess I've always been a strong believer in 'everything happens for a reason'." ~Andy Kilpatrick, March 31, 2004 Condolences for the family may be submitted online at CloverdaleFuneralHome.com.

A tribute came 4 years too late. I'm sadden to have learned the passing of Andy. And regret that we've lost touch as we moved onto different paths of our career back in 2002. My belated condolences to the Kilpatrick family... and may Andy rest peace in Heaven. His friendship will forever be cherished in my life.

My heart aches reading this. I met Andy when he just moved to San Diego. I remember him telling me about Boise, how liberated he felt when he moved out to California. We became good friends for years since then. I'd drive from Anaheim to San Diego for a few hours each day to hang out with him.

Eventually we lost touch when I moved out of the country and he moved to Seattle.

you will definitely be missed, tiger.

I used to work for Emd Biosciences and I knew Andrew. I used to work in the warehouse and remembered making deliveries to Andy on a daily basis. It is sad to see the article online and I just stormed through just to get the address to Emd. My condolenses to the Kilpatrick family throughout the nation. God bless his entire family from the Manu family I will keep you all in my prayers.

I was a colleague of Andy's at EMD Biosciences. Andy was a pleasure to work with: intelligent, friendly and very helpful. As I had lived in Seattle prior to moving to San Diego, we had the opportunity to talk quite a bit about his (at the time) impending move North affording me the opportunity to get to know him just a little bit better. I am saddened to hear that he is no longer with us. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

I had the privelege to work very closely with Andy at his first job, and considered him a genious whose abilities were beyond anything I had ever witnessed. He was so kind, soft-spoken, and funny. I am so sad to hear of his passing(just now became aware of it...). Even though he was a very private person, and I did not know much of his personal life, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you, his friends and family.

Dear Kilpatrick family,
May I offer my condolences to you and your family at this difficult time.
I would like to let you know that The Idaho Statesman offers a free service to honor your loved one called “In Remembrance”. These short human interest profiles are written by an Idaho Statesman staffer and published on Sunday in the Local section. You can view previous profiles at www.idahostatesman.com/remembrance.
Candidates for the profiles, which are randomly chosen, feature a person from one of the local communities who has passed away in the past three months.
There are no qualifications, just the willingness of family and friends to share their memories about their loved one with the community. An informal photo may also run with the profile.
This is not an obituary but rather, a more personal reflection of each persons’ life and character, which may include quotes from a family members, friends or associates, as well as more detailed account of family relationships, special events, hobbies or personal experiences that helped shape that person's life and that of their family and community.
If you would be interested or would like more information, you may email Stephanie Eddy ([email protected]) or call 377-6481.

Dear Uncle Stan, Aunt Nancy and Peter,

My heart shattered when I heard about Andy. For some reason he had been on my mind for quite a few months and I have been talking to Mom about looking him up. Please know that even though we don't see each other often, you are always close to my heart and in my prayers. I love you all and I know I will see Andy again, down the road, in a better place.

All my love,
Stacy
