Anne Cassidy Obituary

Anne Marie Hathaway Cassidy died peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, January 21. Born August 14, 1930 in Jersey City, NJ, to Clemens S. and Sadie Aldrich Hathaway, she resided in Iselin, NJ before moving to Cypress in 1975. Anne was a founding member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Before retiring, Anne's work in social ministry at CTR lead to the formation of Cypress Assistance Ministries. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, John P. Cassidy, her son John C. Cassidy, her parents and siblings Ken and Anna Hathaway, Walter and Betty Hathaway, Evelyn and Dominic Scornavacca, Louis and Audrey Hathaway, Harriet and George O'Connor and John S. Hathaway. Surviving are her sister in law, Barbara Zuppa Hathaway of East Brunswick, NJ, children Catherine Lambert, Leah Ripley, Neil and Heather Cassidy, Brian and Chris Cassidy, Patricia Cassidy. Also surviving are her grandchildren Sadie and Geoff Hakemack, Christopher Yaworsky, Meagan and Wes Neubauer, John Ethan Cassidy, Sean Cassidy, Gregory and Michael Lambert, Owen and Rory Cassidy, Kaitlin Cassidy and Anne's great-grandson Wyatt Neubauer as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
Visitation at Klein Funeral Home, Wortham Drive, Houston, Friday 5:00-7:00 followed by prayer vigil at 7:00pm, Funeral mass at Christ the Redeemer Church, Saturday 2:00pm. Internment following at Klein Cemetery, Pinehurst.
Memorial contributions can be made to Cypress Assistance Ministries, Huffmeister Rd, Cypress.

I had the pleasure of being Ms Anne's home health nurse for two years and I only have great words for her.
Thank you Ms Anne for your love and kindness. Your faith in God is very inspiring and uplifting. You will always be remembered.

I knew Mrs. Cassidy for almost 30 years. As a good friend of her daughter Patti, I had the opportunity to visit with her on several occasions. She always treated me like family and I appreciated her kindness.

I've know Mrs. Cassidy for almost 30 years. She was the mother of my good friend Patti so I was in touch with her on and off over the years. She always welcomed me into her home and treated me like family. I will miss the kindness she showed me and the many others whose lives she touched.

I have been blessed to have known Anne through my sister, Leah Ripley. I know Anne did many good deeds throughout her life.
