Berit Guthus Crookham

July 25, 1935 - July 21, 2025

Caldwell, Idaho - Berit Guthus Crookham died with her family by her side on July 21, 2025. Berit had a long and adventurous life that began in her home country of Norway. She had a loving family whose roots were in the farming area north of Oslo near the town of Stange. Although she was only 7 years old, she remembered the Nazi occupation of Norway as her parents and relatives were in the resistance movement, and these stories live on in Berit's family. In 1957 Berit met Bill Crookham at the University of Oslo and the two later married in 1958. They had three children Kristi, Mary Ann and George. Berit also has nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Berit loved family activities, traveling and horses, and many of you know her from one or more of these delights. We will miss a devoted and bold mother, grandmother and great grandmother, a loyal and fun-loving friend, and a resolute and generous individual.

Per Berit's wishes, services will be held for immediate family only.
