Brian K. Hone, son of Randal and Diana Hone, drowned in the swift waters of Trinity River, Hoopa, Humbolt Co, California, Monday, May 25, 2015. He had recently moved there, was working as a cook at a local restaurant, and liked living in the mountains with his dog Charley. They were enjoying a hot sunny day with friends at the river. Brian was caught in a strong current he couldn't get out of and his friends were not able to save him.
Brian was born December 1, 1987, in Boise, Ada, Idaho, attended Centennial High School and became a great chef working at Jakers. He felt creating new recipes became his artistic outlet. Brian was funny and sensitive, always looking out for the underdog or the new kid on the block.
Brian will be sorely missed by his parents, 4 siblings, 14 nieces and nephews, and 2 grandparents. Jessica & Barry Croker (Brenna, Jonah, Logan, Ian, Hunter, Eva) Manasas, Virgina; Benny Hone (Baya) of Boise; Justin & Tiffany Hone (Cameron, Kendall, Jaxon, Vance) Castle Rock, Colorado; Tyler & Katie Hone (Maddex, Jett, Savanna) of Blackfoot; Keith Hone, Boise; Neva Coburn; Boise.
Services will be held Saturday, June 6th, 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 11443 W McMillan Rd, Boise. Brian will be buried in the Dry Creek Cemetery.

I was saddened to read about Brian's death. My heart goes out to you for your loss. I recall having Brian in first grade at Summersind Elementary and loved having another "Hone".
