Carole Tatum Obituary

Carole Bosshardt Tatum 1942 - 2012 Carole Bosshardt Tatum passed away after a very brief battle with cancer on August 11, 2012 surrounded by family. She was born in Boise, Idaho, the eldest daughter to Bob & Barbara Bosshardt on October 25, 1942. She spent her early years in the Boise area, attending St. Teresa's Academy, Borah High School, and attended college at Dominican University of California in San Rafael. After college she began her working career at Gump's in San Francisco, with most of her working years being in the fragrance and cosmetic departments at Nordstrom's. She married Jim Tatum on May 26, 1981 and was happily married until the day she passed. Carole had a very close knit family and shared many family outings throughout the years in Tahoe, Sun Valley and other locations. Above all she loved her family and was happiest when one or all were with her. She was a generous and caring person who went out of her way to enrich the lives of family, friends and neighbors alike. She was preceded in death by her parents Bob & Barbara Bosshardt. She is survived by her husband Jim Tatum of Mesa, Arizona and his daughter Allison Tatum of Washington, her sisters Beverly Geddes (Del) of Boise, and Gayle Blunk (Dale) of Caldwell, niece Tamera Geddes of New York, nephew Ryan (Katy) Reynolds and niece Brooke (Dillon) Craychee both of Meridian, and extended families. Carole was always so sweet and kind. She was a much better friend to me than I was to her and I regret not staying in touch with her. I have many wonderful memories of our times together in Boise and Seattle. Pat Bonner Palmer (OK)

There are so many memories I have of Carole. Barbara always planned the greatest parties, one of which was a Halloween party when we were in junior high. She made newspaper dress for Carole. It was so clever and had to be so much work. We also decorated Santa cookies for All Saints when we were in high school. Carole was a great gal.
