Claude Wiseman Obituary

Claude E. Wiseman
1927 ~ 2014
Claude Eugene Wiseman died in Boise at home on Saturday, September 20, 2014 of natural causes.
Claude was born in Kansas City, Missouri, February 15, 1927, the second of five children of Merle and Gertie Wiseman. The family moved to Notus, Idaho where Claude graduated from high school. He enlisted in the Army and served time in Germany as Administrative NCO with the 58th Field Hospital at the end of WW II.
Claude married Betty Maples on October 15, 1955. They had four children: Nancy (Dave) Harris; Laura (Jesse) Tenison; Mark (Patty) Wiseman; and David (Shawnee) Wiseman.
Claude worked as an Administrative Officer for the Bureau of Reclamation in Rupert, Burley, Boise, and Marsing, Idaho and then moved back to Burley where he retired after 35 years of service. Claude and Betty moved to Boise in 2013.
Claude enjoyed reading, especially anything related to WW II history and had been an avid gardener. His main joy in life was his family. He loved them dearly. He was a quiet man with a great sense of humor and was the best husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother you could ask for.
Claude is survived by his wife, Betty; his children; nine grandchildren: Luke, Kendall, RyAnn, Connor, Jake, Matt, Peyton, Alex, and Hunter; sister, Betty (Bill) Bengeyfield; brother, Cliff (Neta) Wiseman; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Barbara (Dick) Roberts; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Pilar Wiseman; and daughter-in-law, Shawn Wiseman.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Lower Boise Cemetery, Parma, Idaho.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Idaho Humane Society, or the United Methodist Church, Burley, Idaho.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Claude's memorial webpage at www.summersfuneral.com.

I love looking back on my memories spending time at your old house in Burley. Riding your lawn mower, playing the piano horribly, singing horribly, watching Snoopy holiday specials on your VHS circa 1980. Thank you for everything Grandpa, I'll miss you.

Claude's children: Nancy, Laura, Mark and David were so lucky to have such a loving and supportive father so far into their adulthood. For this they should feel blessed. If anyone has an express ticket to heaven, it's Claude.
