Curt Ray Goodrich passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2017. He was born in Boise, Idaho on June 11, 1967 to Marcia and Terry Goodrich, the youngest of 3 children, and lived his entire life in the city he loved.
He began his career in automotive and motorcycle mechanics at the age of 5 when he diligently washed his first Schwinn bicycle, usually 2 or 3 times a day. He graduated Boise High School in 1985. Curt was employed by numerous auto dealerships throughout the Boise area. He took great pride in his workmanship, and had exceptional integrity in all he accomplished.
Curt skied at Bogus Basin with his older brother. However, it wasn't long before he fell in love with motorcycles, which became a lifelong passion for him, and led to many road trip adventures. One such trip with his older brother in tow, was a European adventure to attend the 1995 Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix in Spa-Francorchamps, followed by a continuing tour through Luxembourg, Germany, The Netherlands, and ending in England.
Most of all Curt was an avid fisherman, always searching for the peace and serenity angling provides in the beauty of nature. He loved it dearly, and many of his excursions would include dropping a line in still waters. He will also be remembered as quiet, honest, a voracious reader, generous, polite, caring, a lover of cooking, a studier of maps, and his sly sense of humor.
He was his father's right hand and best buddy, his mother's shoulder to lean on. Curt will be greatly missed by his parents, sister Jody, brother Chris, sister-in-law Josefina, and his nephew Christopher.
A celebration of life will be held at the Bread of Life Fellowship Church, 1023 E. State St., on Friday September 8, 2017 at 4pm. All are welcome to join in his remembrance.
