Papa Hawk - Oh the tears and the laughter! His stories were absolutely hysterical. I have so many special memories, he always made me feel like I was one of his own. I'm so sorry I'm not there to be with you all right now, but I do send all my love as you are in my thoughts and prayers. What a wonderful life he led!

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Mr. Hawk was one of my favorite teachers at VHS. I remember him whistling answers to test questions and thumping me on the head with a pencil when he walked by during a test and noticed I had the question wrong. Although I had him as a teacher toward the end of his teaching career (class of '81) he was still passionate about teaching. He made learning enjoyable.
