Dennis Timothy Cheney passed away on Friday, October 19th when he was hit by a drunk driver in Baker City, Oregon. He was 59 years old and is survived by his three children; Tara Kristensen, Travis Cheney, and CeCe Cheney. Tim was a lover of his animals, dancing, singing, rodeos and having a flat good time. You could find him most weekends either riding his horse in the mountains, or going to a rodeo, and always with his dog, Pickles.
He lived life to the fullest and never had a dull moment. Tim was a good man, a good friend, and the best dad. He was always there to lend a helping hand or crack a bad joke. He would help anyone with no expectation in return. He leaves behind a heartbroken family and a bunch of friends that will sorely miss him.
Service will be held at College Place Presbyterian Church on November 3rd at 10:30 am. Following the service, a celebration of life will be held the only way Tim would have wanted it... At Kelly's Lounge in Milton Freewater at 4:00 pm on November 3rd with his friends, a cold beer, and a good list of karaoke songs.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Idaho Youth Ranch through Gray's West & Co. Pioneer Chapel at 1500 Dewey Ave., Baker City, OR 97814.
