Dennis, you will always be remembered by me. We were room mates at Willis Sweet Hall, as freshman at the University of Idaho in 1955. At the time I had no idea how great a teacher you would turn out to be, I am proud to say I knew you as a friend. God Bless.....

I didn't know it at the time, but Dennis Gray taught me how to communicate through writing and that skill followed me through a successful 22 year career in the U.S. Navy, as an instructor for six years and sixteen years with the Idaho Department of Labor. Jill and family, I am sorry for your loss. Dave

We were both fortunate to have Mr. Gray as our Senior Composition teacher at Borah High our senior year early in his teaching career. Even now whenever we are called upon to formally write a paper or an article, in our hearts we thank Mr. Gray for the skills he taught us. What a wonderful surprise it was to have him also teach some of our children at Capital High. He was a gifted and caring teacher.

Dear Jill, your husband of 42 years was a noteworthy influence in my choosing to become a teacher. He exemplified all the traits as an educator that make for greatness. He conducted himself in the most professional manner, demanded excellence from his students, and touched so many lives in positive fashion. I admired his work ethic and his commitment to high performance standards. I am not surprised at the outpouring of praise for Dennis Gray both as a man and as a teacher. His time on this earth was not wasted; he will be long and fondly remembered for his valuable contributions as an educator and as a special person. Dennis was my cousin, and I loved him.
Respectfully,
Gayle R. Eaton, retired teacher

Dennis Gray, a TITAN of education and high expectations for human development and learning. My years teaching at Capital High were more joyful because of Dennis and the many many things he taught me about life inside and outside of the classroom. Jill thank you for having shared him with so many people. My heartfelt condolences.

Mr. Gray was one of the few teachers who made an impression on me in high school. His ability to relate to the students and push us to excel beyond what we thought we were capable of was truly inspirational. My warmest thoughts go out to his family.

Mr. Gray was a gifted educator who showed me that I had the ability to write, all I had to do was write as I spoke. A lesson I have carried with me always. Those of us who had him as a teacher were fortunate indeed. Captial High Class of 1977.

I met Mr Gray in 1968, as chaperone for the Foreign Study League trip to Europe, for high school seniors from Treasure Valley. He was kind, watchful when necessary, and such fun. Mr Gray made our adventure to Europe a wonderful experience, and one I remember most fondly. My deepest condolences to his wife and family.
