Eileen Siebert Obituary

Eileen Siebert
1924 ~ 2015
Eileen Siebert passed away at a local hospital on April 21, 2015 at the age of 90. Eileen was born in Spokane, Washington August 5, 1924 to Pauline and Neil Morris. She spent her early childhood on a ranch at Big Canyon near Pittsburg Landing in Idaho. She graduated from Whitebird High School and moved to Boise in 1942 where she attended Boise Junior College. After obtaining her teaching certificate, she taught in Boise schools.
She met and married Vernon Siebert in 1948 and soon thereafter became a housewife and mother to three children; sons, Jerry and Michael and daughter, Toni. After her husband's passing, she lived in Boise until the mid '80's and then moved back to Whitebird. Here she found a very special friend and companion, Cedric Chamberlin. Together they traveled and enjoyed the quiet life of Whitebird and Quartzsite as seniors. After Cedric's passing, Mom continued to split her time between Idaho and Arizona. During the early 2000's, she finally moved back to Boise to live with Toni and son-in-law, Mark. Late in 2013, she moved to the Cottages of Meridian.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vern; sister, Patricia Morris; sister and brother-in-law, Cleo and Sam Toledo; special companion, Cedric; and oldest son, Jerry.
She is survived by her daughter, Toni Kelchner and her husband Mark Kelchner; grandson, Aaron Shay and his wife Jennie and great grandson Jaden; and grandson, Andy Barber and his wife Karlee and great grandchildren, Kyra, Kannon, Kolson, and Kyndal. Mom was blessed to have others she considered her extended family (Angela and David Barber, Monica Ryan and son Christian, Nicole and Donald Williamson and their children, Aidan and Adelleine). We all love and will miss her.
I wish to thank the Cottages staff for watching over Mom while in your care and the St. Al's staff for your compassion during her stay. At Mom's request, there will be no services, but immediate family will gather at a later time.

Eileen had a special connection to the Jensen family living next door to our grandmother on 15th street. Eileen and my mom were special friends and our connection tightened when she became a special compaion of my mom's cousin Cedric. We all enjoyed Eileen's friendship . After my mom passed away, we lost contact with Eileen but hought of her throughout the years. Thank you for you kind friendship to the Jensen family.
