There are times when words fall short of what we want to really say. Uncle Em, I will always have memories of you and Dad together. Your smiles could brighten anyone's world and your laughter was infectious. We will miss you greatly and we send our love to all of your family.

All of us on the 8th floor at St. Al's were touched by Emory's spirit and Kay's strength. I will miss hearing the sounds of his "quiet" snore floating out to the nurses station in the middle of the night. Many blessings for an amazing family.

Uncle Em, How lucky I am to have had you as my uncle, your smile, sense of humor and great stories will never compare. I think we will all be lost for a while without you but I have many, many stories to tell my children. And thanks to you, Nams cut Logan's hair and he does look like a "little Boy" she gave him the Emory special. You will be missed terribly and thought of daily with much love. Lisa, Lauryn and Logan

Dad, I was so lucky to have you for 60yrs. but its not nearly enough.I think about you constantly and it brings a smile to my face. You & Mom are the reason our family is so close and I thank you for that.I have so many great memories and it breaks my heart that you aren't here to enjoy a good story and laugh. I tried to not let myself think you wouldn't be but that didn't happen. I MISS your smile and your great sense of humor. What a wonderful legacy you have left for our family. I LOVE YOU DADDY! My thoughts and prayers to Kay and family. I remember Emory from the good old days on Woody Drive when we were neighbors, and have happy memories of his joking, smiling and those large puzzles on the kitchen table. Although I can not be in Boise for the wake - Emory style - I shall think of all of you.

I will really miss Uncle Emory. Every time I saw him his greeting was " Hi uglier than me " I remember he taught me and Butch how to swim by the sink or swim method. It worked as we are still here. He was my favorite uncle and I will miss him a lot. My thoughts are always with you guys.

Dad has always been my hero, the person I looked up to the most, the one I most admired. I will miss him and never forget what he meant to me and our entire family. The gift he left was giving me the insight to see what kind of a mother we have. While we all knew she was "Tiger Lady" she has shown us what true strength and dignity is all about. Mom we were very lucky to have dad in our lives, and he was very lucky to have you by his side. If we can become half the woman you are, we will have made our father proud.

My Grandpa was the strongest, kindest and funniest person I've ever known. He could always make me smile. I remember him singing to me as a little girl and how comfortable and safe I always felt in his arms. He was like a father to me. He was one tough cookie and I knew I could always count on him for anything. He was always here for his family. He was the glue that kept all of us crazies together. He lived a long, wonderful life, but I wish we could have just one more day with him. I know he fought a long and hard battle and I have some comfort in the fact that he is finally at peace. -Poppy- I love you more than words could ever express and I miss you terribly. You mean the world to me and you always will. Thank you for all of the love and the wonderful memories. I will always hold them close to my heart and I will never forget them. -Love Always-Shady Cakes
