Floyd Edwards, our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, peacefully passed away at home on July 11, 2016, at the age of 92, due to age related complications.
Floyd was born on June 5, 1924, to Glen Raymond and Vienna Clyde Edwards. He had two older brothers, Robert and Douglas, and a younger sister, Glennis V. Edwards Sidwell. When their father passed away, the three young boys took over running the farm. This they did until World War II began. Floyd and his brothers served in the war for over 3 years. When Floyd returned from his service in the Navy over in the South Pacific, he served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the North Central States Mission--Minnesota. Upon returning home from his mission, he married Marva Thacker in the Salt Lake Temple on June 18, 1952. They resided in Charleston, Utah where they had three children, Debra Carol, Douglas Glen and Karen Ray. In 1960, Floyd and Marva moved their family and dairy operation to the Treasure Valley and Kuna, Idaho where they added two more children to their family, Wayne Floyd and Aaron Dale. Floyd and Marva lived there on the farm until 1994 when they turned the farm over to Glen and moved back to Heber to retire. Over the years, Floyd served on 2 different Soil Conservation Boards and in many different capacities in the LDS Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marva, their children Debra (Randy Plane), Glen (Kris Tracy), Karen (Paul Beard), Wayne (Shari Jo Jorgenson), and Aaron (Julie Dayley). They have 21 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and his granddaughter, Tracy Edwards.

Upon hearing of the passing of our dear friend Floyd, our thoughts and prayers go out to Marva and their family. We have many fond memories and I remember being a Deacon and having the guidance and love of a wonderful 2nd Counselor in the Bishopric. He truly had a big impact in my life and all of you were wonderful family friends! One of the funniest memories was when my dad and Floyd had a pie fight, during what was supposed to be a pie eating contest at a ward party. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Edwards family.
Love,

The Bastians cherished their dear friends and neighbors in Nampa, Idaho. The Edwards were some of the best people we have ever known. Floyd and Marva made our lives richer and more enjoyable.

Their personalities were warm and engaging; and they were full of faith and devotion - excellent role models for the Latter-Day Saints.

May God bless and comfort you in this time loss and mourning. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Morris and Elaine Bastian

P.S. Richard, Barry, Sue and Rochelle. Only Sue, Rochelle and I still live in mortality.
