Goldie Deering Hayes
1910 - 2013
Goldie Deering Hayes, 102, of Boise, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at a Boise care center. Goldie was born on December 28, 1910 in Mosinee, Wisconsin to Eli and Norabelle (Marlow) Brazelton.
Goldie and Dave were married at a young age and they traveled many miles across several
states before settling in Boise, Idaho. Goldie was a wonderful house wife to Dave.
She and Dave loved spending time with their friends and regularly attending church.
Dave Deering passed away in April of 1994. Goldie continued attending The First Free Will
Baptist Church in Boise where she met and married Melvyn Hayes in 1998.
They lived in several Assisted Living homes until Melvyn passed away in 2004.
Goldie then moved into the Park Center Assisted Living home where she lived until
she passed away.
Goldie was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, three brothers, Willie, Richard and Lewis, and one sister, Melvinea.
A special thank you to all her special friends at Park Center, FWB Church, and the loving staff at Park Center Assisted Living, who helped and knew Goldie.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the First Free Will Baptist Church (FWB), 3967 Pershing Drive in Boise.
Interment was held at Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise on Thursday, September 26, 2013.
