Harold Huston Obituary

Harold Emmett Huston
April 15, 1942 - March 24, 2023
Boise, Idaho - Harold Emmett Huston, 80, of Boise, Idaho, passed away on March 24, 2023, from natural causes surrounded by his family and close friends.
Harold Huston was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched. Harold is the best example of what a man, husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, son, and friend should be but above all, a man of God. He was tenderhearted, loving, hardworking, respectful, loyal, supportive, selfless, a provider, a protector, a creator and woodworker, a fixer, constantly serving and most importantly, always with open arms that are always there for those he loved.
Harold grew up in a devout Catholic home in Fall City, Washington. He grew up on a farm with his mom, dad, and sister where there was never a shortage of work to be done. He attended Mount Si High School. While attending a Mount Si football game he met the love of his life, Judy Rice. They married in August of 1963. They have three daughters, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Harold worked for Pioneer National Title Company the early part of his career which moved him and the family around from Seattle, WA to Bellingham, WA, to Bothell, WA. It was in 1978 Harold joined the Pioneer Title Company of Ada County in Boise, Idaho and the family made their final move. He retired after 30 years in 2008 taking off his suit and tie and trading it for jeans and a straw hat to drive his tractor on his beloved property and dream home with a view of the mountains.
Harold's hobbies included hunting, camping, gardening, playing games, and watching sports. He had a huge passion for his church and was involved in all thing's music i.e., the church choir, Evangelization retreat choir, and most importantly, was involved in the creation and start-up of the Catholic Radio station Salt & Light of Boise, Idaho.
The funeral service will be held on March 30th, 2023, at 1:00pm at Holy Apostles Catholic Church (6300 N Meridian Rd, Meridian, ID 83646) with a rosary to be held at 12:30pm prior to the service. The celebration of life will be held in the dining area of the church directly following the funeral service & mass. Arrangements for this day are being handled by the family.
Harold is survived by his wife, Judy Huston; sister, Alice Huston; daughters: Michelle Steele, Kim Huston, and Danielle Eisenbeiss; seven grandchildren: Dan, Andy, Joey, Brady, Brooke, Jake & Tyler; and five great grandchildren: Autumn, Levi, Lincoln, Dallas, and Monte. Harold is preceded in death by his parents; Bryson Huston, Emeline (Huston) Doane.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Salt & Light Catholic Radio Station of Boise, Idaho. A special thanks to the amazing support of the Enhabit Home Health and Hospice team, Troy Groth & Emily Beltran, who took special care of Harold as if he were their dad. You guided our family through a very difficult time with compassion and understanding.
