HUGH SPROAT III
1943-2015
Hugh was born in Boise on April 28, 1943, Idaho the oldest son of Hugh Sproat Jr. & Blanche M. Hoyer. He attended schools in Eagle and graduated from Boise High School in 1961. Hugh served his country from 1966 thru 1967 with deployment to Germany. He was presented with the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Expert Marksman-Rifle. Hugh graduated with a B.A. degree from Boise College. He will be remembered for being well liked and joking around with others with his dry sense of humor. Hugh is survived by his brothers Roderick Sproat, Alan Sproat (Patty), his niece Heather Sproat Kite (Vince), several cousins, his good friend Mickey Sweeten, their shared dog Tia and Mickey's daughters Lori, Nicole & DaNae. Hugh was an avid hunter, fisherman, and had a great love of the outdoors. He requested no services but his ashes will be scattered in the places he loved. He will be interred at the Idaho State Veteran Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Luke's Medical Center Medical ICU 3rd floor Boise unit for the excellent and compassionate care provided to Hugh.
