Hyrum Page

Hyrum L. Page returned to his Father in Heaven on Monday, September 30, 2010. He died of natural causes. Hyrum was born August 5, 1928, to Joseph Hyrum Page and Beatrice Davis Page in Dayton. At 25 years of age, he married Doreen Helmer from Burley. They had four children. That marriage ended after 25 years. He later married Betty Parker. They were married for 28 years until he passed away. Hyrum's career included a variety of work settings, all of which he enjoyed as they provided an education in and of themselves. He spent 23 years at the Burley Flour Mill until it closed its operation. He then worked in carpentry, which took him and his family to Boise, where he continued in carpentry work for several years. Hyrum then went to work for the Best Western Safari Motor Inn where he worked for 25 years as the maintenance specialist, where he met and later married Betty Parker. After a short retirement, he went to work for Hertz Rental where he worked until a few months ago. Hyrum, was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Vera Page Richmond; brothers, Frank Page, Wilton Page, Ross Page, Ivan Page and Leo Page. He is survived by his wife, Betty; his son, Lynn Leon Page; his daughters, Linda Page, Linnet Mecham, and Priscilla Boyle; his step children, David Parker and Lori Stoneback, twelve grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 10 am to 10:45 am and funeral services will follow at 11am, Saturday, September 11, 2010 at LDS Church, 1560 N Ten Mile Rd in Meridian. Burial will be held Monday, Sept. 13th at Dayton Cemetery, Dayton, Idaho. Services are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor, Garden City, Idaho.
