Jane Pugh Obituary

Jane G. Pugh

October 28, 1942 - April 12, 2025

Boise, Idaho - Jane Gray Pugh passed away from natural causes on April 12, 2025 in Boise. She was born on October 28, 1942.

Jane grew up in Ophir, Utah and Tooele, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Terry Erickson. She is survived by her sister Debbie Gilger.

Jane leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Keith; their children, Chrys Pugh Dayley (Eric) of Pocatello, ID, and James Pugh (Ellie) of Sahuarita, AZ; their three grandchildren, Morgan (Brian), Philip (Katie), and Logan Dayley; and 2 great granddaughters.

Jane graduated from Tooele High School in 1960. She earned her Bachelors Degree with High Honors in Business from Idaho State University in 1982. She later completed coursework for her teaching certificate at Boise State University.

Jane worked for many years as a substitute teacher and loved teaching children. For many years she volunteered at Ronald McDonald House and Idaho Botanical Garden. She loved both places, and serving people there.

Jane loved the outdoors and spent many hours gardening. She loved to go camping, especially at Redfish Lake, with Keith. Chrys, Eric and their children loved to join them there.

Jane and Keith spent many winters in Florida when James lived there. They loved doing day trips with James and Ellie and eventually bought a winter home in FL.

Jane loved riding bikes with Keith. As her health declined, Keith bought a specially outfitted tandem bike so they could continue to ride together.

The family would like to extend special gratitude to the staff of Ashley Manor - Orchard and Auburn Crest Hospice for their loving care of Jane as her life ended. They were invaluable.

At Jane's request, there are no services planned. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Ronald McDonald House.
