Jacqueline Woten Obituary

Jacqueline Ann (Jackie) Gering Woten

Whitefish, MT - Jacqueline Ann (Jackie) Gering Woten, (age 83), died in Whitefish MT on January 1, 2019. Jackie was the daughter of William and Kathleen (Duggan) Gering and a native of Green Bay. She attended Marquette University and in 1957 she married Myron Simonar. Jackie had a civil service career in the Department of Housing and Urban Development. She was also a secretary for the First Universalist Unitarian Church of Wausau. In 1979 she married Jerry Woten.

In addition to her husband, Jackie is survived by five children: Jeanne (Bruce) Ramsay, Bradley (Gail) Simonar, William (Cecelia) Simonar, and Paula (Tim) Mattmiller, and Neil (Deborah) Simonar, and step children Danny (Patti) Woten, Skira Harper, Nancy Woten and Mark Woten. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

In her retirement, Jackie pursued her life-long passions for reading, research, and writing by becoming an amateur genealogist. She loved public libraries and her family requests that any memorials for her be in the form of donations to any public library.

According to her wishes, no services will be held.
