Laura Ann Fowler Thompson, 50, passed into the comforting arms of her Heavenly Father on March 6, 2013, in Boise, Idaho. She was born August 7, 1962, in National City, CA, to T. Wayne Fowler and Dianne (Billups) Fowler.
Laura graduated in 1980 from Bonita Vista High School in Chula Vista, CA, and was united in marriage with Gordon Thompson on September 27, 1985. She was proud of the family, home, and life they built together over the next 24 years. She thrived working in property management at Statewide Investors, Inc., in CA and Property Systems,Inc., in Nampa and Boise. She enjoyed camping, crafting, and time at the beach or river with family and friends.
She is survived by her mother; two children, Melissa (Travis) Thompson and Dakota Thompson; two grandsons, Leland Crisman and Hayden Myers; sister, Danielle (Anthony) Koenig; half-sister, Michelle (William) Kasper; nephews, Sean, Andrew, Troy, and Lucas Koenig; many loving aunts and uncles, especially Claudia Kopper, Mark (Ellen) Billups, Thell (Norma) Fowler; special cousins and friends Gisela (Carey) Kopper-Dopf; Ken (Amy) Fowler; Sherry (Ron) Walsh; Tina Jones; Joe (Susan) Reilly; Doris (David) Peters; Diane Markin; David Kupenga of Hamilton, New Zealand; and special friend James Tomlinson. She will be welcomed home by her father, Uncle David, and beloved husband who preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, at the LDS church located at 6032 N Five Mile, Boise. Bishop Ahlquist will preside, to whom the family extends heartfelt thanks for his spiritual and temporal guidance along with Brothers Moore, Hess, Weeks, Peterson, and Sister Diane Thompson who shared with Laura the love and word of Jesus Christ.
