Lawrence Durkin Obituary

Lawrence Joseph Durkin 1953 - 2011 Lawrence Joseph Durkin passed away suddenly on March 14, 2011. Larry was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 7, 1953. He will be remembered for his independent spirit and his love for his family. Larry is survived by his wife Stephane, his children Alex and Chris, his granddaughters Madeline and Susan, his siblings, Charlotte, Ginny, Bill, Terry, Maureen, David, Martha, Ellen and Angela, and his 18 nieces and nephews, including his Godchild, Julia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Martha Durkin. A private memorial service will be held at Holy Nativity Episcopal Church in Meridian, ID at a later date. "MY LORD GOD,... I trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone." -from "Thoughts in Solitude," Thomas Merton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, the Baby Steps Program at St. Michael's Cathedral, Life's Kitchen of Boise or a charity of the donor's choice.
