Lynn Lough Obituary

Lynn Lough 1951 - 2011 Lynn left us early Monday morning, September 19, 2011 quietly in his sleep. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 23rd at the Meridian Legacy Church, 1507 N. Meridian Rd. Military honors will be held at 3:00 PM at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. Remembrances may be left for the family at ww.AccentFuneral.com. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian. Lynn was born November 14, 1950 to Charles and Norma (Martindale) Lough at Gooding Idaho. Lynn was "big" brother to 3 brothers and one sister. Raised primarily in Boise area, the lakes, rivers and mountains of the Boise Front were his playground. He was an avid fisher man, hunter and later became a golfer. He loved being outdoors. Lynn left Borah High School in January of his senior year and enlisted in the Army. He received several commendations and was honorably discharged. In his early years he was a master of many trades: bartending, mining and logging to name a few. He enjoyed driving and built a career in the trucking industry. Lynn is survived by his mother, Norma Lough; brothers: Walter Lough and Cliff Lough; sister, Evalyn (Kelly) Katula; children: Shayla Toliver, Kristina (Keith) Murphy, Charles Lough II; 3 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Lynn was preceded in death by his father, Charles Lough and brother, Jim Lough. While cancer took our Lynn, it also gave us the opportunity to stand together and support him in his transition. He was surrounded with love and family and friends. On his 60th SURPRISE BIRTHDAY we were blessed by his oldest daughter, Shayla coming into our lives. What delight this brought to all of us. We would like to thank Mary for loving our brother and being his rock. We are truly grateful to the folks at the Veterans Hospital. They treated Lynn with kindness and compassion, like he was part of their family.
