Margaret Hoover Obituary

Margaret Elizabeth "Peggy" Hoover
1929 - 2017
Our beloved mother (and Nanny) Peggy passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Sept. 24th. She is with her Lord now.
Peggy was born in Stony Point, NY and graduated from Stony Point High School. She later attended a vocational school and went on to work in the fashion industry in New York City. She met the love of her life Robert "Bob" Hoover at West Point when he was a cadet. They were married twice, first officially in Albuquerque and then they married at the West Point Chapel June 13th, 1950.
As an Air Force wife, she relocated her family to many places in the United States, including New York, North Carolina, Colorado, Virginia, California and also England.
For the last 47 years she lived in Idaho, four years in Mountain Home AFB, before settling ultimately in Boise.
Her life focus was her family of four children, Craig, Jeff, Wendy and Scott and four grandchildren Jacob, Ian, Aliza and Zev. Peggy also considered two Swedish girls (Ingrid Brennan and Elizabeth Hansson) who each came to live with her for a year, as part of her family. Peggy had an artful eye, she sewed and quilted and collected many beautiful paintings and antiques as part of her way of making a lovely home.
Survivors include her husband Robert "Bob" M. Hoover, children Craig Hoover, Jeff Hoover (daughter-in-law Michele Gutlove), Wendy Hoover (son-in-law Brad Guinn) and Scott Hoover. She is also survived by her brother Robert Rose of Albuquerque and his children and many grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother; Sophie Rose, her father; Louis Matthais Rose, her brother Louis A. Rose.
Peggy and Bob were members of the Boise Valley Christian Communion (now Discovery Church) for many years as well as Christian Life Fellowship in Boise. Peggy was well-loved by many. She was a wonderful soul that quickly warmed many people's hearts and easily had them chuckling.
She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by many.
Services will be held at Christian Life Fellowship at 3:30 pm on Saturday Sept. 30th, at 1524 S. Longmont Ave, Boise.

Peggy and Bob were my host family when I was a student at BSU in the mid 80's. I have many fond memories with them and I still miss them. I am saddened to learn of Peggy's passing. My deep condolences to Bob and the rest of the family.
