MaryAnn Fivecoat Obituary

MaryAnn Fivecoat

April 20, 1934 - September 13, 2023

Meridian, Idaho - MaryAnn Fivecoat, age 89, of Meridian, Idaho, passed away on September 13, 2023. She was born on April 20, 1934, in Cement, Oklahoma, to Grady and Hattie (Boswell) Cates. MaryAnn was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many with her love, generosity, and unique passions.

She found solace in her garden, picking fruit and tending to her flowers, especially those she grew from seeds she received from her sisters in Texas. Her love extended beyond her garden as she fervently cared for her family and animals, praying daily for all she held dear.

MaryAnn worked with her loving husband, Bill, for many years at the Auction, forming many life-long friendships. She was a staple at the office and had a flair for elegance; her hair and makeup were always on point, and cowboy boots were her secret weapon for dancing through life. Her jewelry could double as a disco ball with a wardrobe that put fashion magazines to shame. And let's not forget her trademark-red lipstick, because life is too short for dull colors!

MaryAnn is survived by her spouse, William Fivecoat, with whom she shared 46 beautiful years. She leaves behind her children, Leon Heavin, Marilynn (Jack Williams) Robertson, and Dave Heavin, and stepson Rod (Tami) Fivecoat. MaryAnn's memory will also be carried by her sisters, Geneva Estep and Shirley Buck, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Jimmie, Sammie, and Grady Cates; her sisters Dorothy Perez, Mildred Shirey, Hattie Faye Dodson, and Minnie Combs; her son James Heavin, and her first husband Edward Heavin.

Services to celebrate MaryAnn's life will be held at Cloverdale Funeral Home in Boise, ID, on Monday, September 25th. The viewing will begin at 11 a.m., followed by the service at noon.

MaryAnn will forever remain in our hearts, remembered for her love, grace, and vibrant spirit. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the memories she created.
