Maximilian Ruggiero Obituary

Maximilian Anthony Ruggiero
1941 ~ 2018
Maximilian Anthony Ruggiero, 76, of Meridian, Idaho, passed away at Genesis HealthCare on Friday, May 18, 2018. Max was born December 16, 1941, in Brookline, Massachusetts, to Emelia and Anthony James Ruggiero.
Max was raised in Lexington, Massachusetts, and graduated from Lexington High School in 1961. He married Pamela (Wade) Ruggiero and had two daughters, Emily and Eva. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on April 12, 1966. He was honorably discharged and returned back to Lexington, Massachusetts, where he received an accounting degree. He worked in various parts of the country in the Housing Authority in California and Virginia. He loved to assemble model ships and has one ready for assembly by his brother Phillip.
Max moved to Meridian, Idaho, 2012, upon the encouragement of his mother, to facilitate a reunion with his younger brother Phillip, whom he had not seen in 40 years. But the illness was debilitating, and he died from a series of diabetic seizures.
Max is survived by his younger brother Phillip Ruggiero (Boise), daughters Emily (Maryland) and Eva (Australia) and two grandchildren, Harper and Ani. His pet dog Victor was the absolute love of his life and was adopted by a neighbor.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 10:00 a.m., at Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah St., Boise, and will be presided by retired Ada County Jury Commissioner, the honorable Marji Shepherd. Max will be buried in Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
