Melissa Weymouth Obituary

Melissa Ann Weymouth, 30, of Eagle, Idaho, went home to be with the Lord on November 14, 2010. Melissa was born January 31, 1980, in Montclair, California, and was a 24-year resident of Chino Hills, California. She was a graduate of Ayala High School class of 1999. In 2004, Melissa moved to Eagle, Idaho to join other family members who had relocated to the area. While Melissa spent most of her life managing health issues which prevented her from engaging in formal employment, she remained very active in serving at her church in children's ministry and taking care of children of all ages. She was an advocate for the Primary Pulmonary Hypertension Association, a disease from which she suffered, raising awareness and fundraising to help find a cure. Melissa's life-long health struggles enabled her to see life through a lens few of us ever have the opportunity to see. Her courage to face challenges and overcome obstacles gave her an appreciation not only for the frailty of life, but a boldness and strength to live life to the fullest. Melissa taught us all the importance of having a strong sense of humor, how to overcome fear with faith, and to respond to life's challenges with determination and grace. Melissa is survived by her mother, Wanell Barton of Eagle, Idaho and preceded in death by her father Kevin Weymouth. She is survived by three sisters, Kristina Cruz of Riverside, CA, Tracey Koellisch of Bristow, VA, and Kelli Trontel of Whitefish, MT. A memorial and celebration of life service will be held on November 20, 2010 at 10:30AM at Eagle Christian Church, 100 Short Road, Building 4, Eagle, ID. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Primary Pulmonary Hypertension Foundation in Melissa's name.
