July 14, 1951 - June 5, 2025
Boise, Idaho - Michael Raymond Goodrich, 73, of Boise, ID, passed away unexpectedly on June 5, 2025, from an accidental fall. Born in Winona, MN, he lived in Phoenix, AZ, before settling in Boise in 1997.
Michael spent most of his career in transportation and delivery, working for Viking Freight, FedEx Ground, and other companies before retiring in 2017. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he was known for his humor, generosity, and deep love of family.
He enjoyed camping, golfing, bourbon, card games, and Boise State football. He never missed a chance to share a laugh or lend a hand.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cathy; his children, David (Summer) and Sarah; and grandchildren, Hudson and Summer Belle. He is also survived by his siblings Tom, Jim, Dee, and Bob.
Michael is now reunited with his parents, Joseph and Mary Goodrich, and his siblings Irae and Bill, who went before him.
A Celebration of Life open house was held in Boise. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages sharing stories and laughter in his memory.

My deepest condolences and thoughts to the family. I have known Mike and his brother Goodie for many years. Work together at Boise Cascade, played golf and Salono football. My favorite is while playing golf Mike gave his brother Goodie an exploding golf ball to his brother. It was the best of times playing golf with Mike and Goodie. My thoughts are with you Cathy, David and Sarah. God bless you guys.
