Michaele Becker, 70, passed away on October 19th of 2013 in Portland, Oregon in the company of her daughter, Danielle. Michaele was born September 22, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents Gordon and Anita Bader.
Early in life, her family moved Boise's North End, where Michaele attended St. Mary's School and graduated from St. Teresa's Academy in 1961. Michaele went on to graduate from the College of Idaho in 1965 and began her teaching career at Fairmont Jr. High in Boise. In 1969, she entered the University of Washington and earned a master's degree in library science.
Michaele's first position as a school librarian was in the Vancouver school district. She later moved to the Beaverton, Oregon school district from which she retired. Upon retirement, Michaele volunteered with the Assistance League of Portland. Also, shortly after retiring Michaele reconnected with her College of Idaho sweetheart, Bob Link. Mike and Bob enjoyed years of quality time together before her passing.
Michaele is survived by her daughter, Danielle (Mike) Scott, and grandsons, Walker and Julian of Brooksville, Florida. She is also survived by her mother, Anita Bader of Tampa, Florida; brother, Bill (Ronda) Bader of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Jane (Bill) Bugni of Tampa, Florida; and Bob Link of Boise.
Michaele was preceded in death by her father, Gordon; and brother, Dan.
Private family services were held in Tampa, Florida.
