Raymon Woolery Obituary

Raymon Andrew "Drew" Woolery
Raymon Andrew "Drew" Woolery, 37, of Estes Park, Colorado, formerly of Caldwell, Idaho, died May 6, 2017, at his home. He was born Feb. 16, 1980, in McCall, Idaho to Ric and Vickie Woolery. He graduated from Vallivue High School in Caldwell, ID. He also resided in New Meadows and Greenleaf, Idaho. For eleven years he served in the Colorado Army National Guard and was a Staff Sargent. His heart was with the 5-19th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and enjoyed parachuting and being sent on special missions. He always challenged his coworkers to do their best, including running and workouts. Drew enjoyed hiking, woodworking, rebuilding engines and welding, artwork (drawing) designs, cooking and body building. He enjoyed organizing special events like Fourth of July Celebrations, Boy Scout events and other such events tied with the military. He loved inspiring the youth of the next generation. Wherever he went he left a footprint of his life. His love, his willingness to inspire, to achieve and to be his best had great influence on everyone around him. I am so proud to have been his Dad.
Drew is survived by his father, Ric L. Woolery (spouse Lesli E. Clark), his mother Vickie L. (Springer) Keezer (spouse, Jim Keezer), his sister Kari L. Mayo, his nieces; Naomi and Tara Mayo, his nephew; Kobe D. Chase, his grandparents; Raymon & Vivian Woolery, his grandmother; Pauline Springer. Drew was preceded in death by his grandfather, Fred J. Springer and grandmother, Elenor I. Bishop
A tremendous thanks to all of Drew's friends and coworkers that also became his family. A special thanks to MSG Van, LTC Hoffman, CPT Richter and Chaplin Michael Moore. To all the law enforcement responders, we thank you for your efforts and your continued caring.

I may have been genetically his cousin, but he always was and always will be my little brother. He was one heck of a guy, full of mischief, feisty, huge sense of humor. Miss you, scuzzin. Always and forever.

I am so very sorry to hear of Drew's passing, my sympathy to Kari, Ric, Vickie, and the entire Woolery family. I will always remember Drew as a young child, who tagged along when I was over at your house in Greenleaf playing with Kari. I still remember his innocent face, and sweet nature. I am proud to know that he was such an inspiration to others in his adult life. He answered a call that so many do not answer, he put his life on the line for all of us here at home, and for this he will always be an American Hero! God Bless and keep you all at this time!
