Richard (Dick) J. Ludovic Jr, 92, passed away peacefully at his home in Boise, Idaho on March 24, 2015 from natural causes. Born on March 15, 1923 in Hazelton, Indiana to Richard Ludovic Sr. and Edna Johnson. Dick was the captain of his football and basketball teams at his high school in Frankfort, Michigan. He served overseas in both the Army and Air Force during WWII. He greatly enjoyed all sports, but loved playing golf (2 hole-in-ones!), enjoyed bird hunting with his many faithful dogs and he rode his ATV all over Idaho with his last dog until age 81. At age 26, he married the love of his life, Joan Swanson. They moved to Boise, Idaho in the 50's where my Grandpa worked until retirement at Boise Cascade. He is survived by his daughter, Brook (Seattle WA); grandsons, Jason and Eric and wife, Sarah (Boise, ID); great grandchildren, Parker, Olivia and Jocelyn; and oldest living friends, Robert (Bob) Laubach and Bev A. in Michigan. He is predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Joan Ludovic; and his son, Rick Ludovic who were with him in spirit at the time of his passing. I would like to thank all of Grandpa's relations with special mention to neighbors, Trish, Dave, Leon and good friends 'The Hope's' and Aunt Bev, the staff at the VA, the staff at Harrison Hope, Home Based Primary Care and Advanced Home Care for their wonderful service and friendship throughout the years. Grandpa loved and appreciated you all.
