November 10, 1946 - December 9, 2024
Boise, Idaho - Richard "Dick" Paul McKee passed at home on December 9, 2024, at the age of 78. Love for life and the people he met, a positive outlook, a questioning mind, and being in service to community, family, and friends were hallmarks of Dick's life. Laughter, the love of fishing, photography, integrity, and grace were characteristics he displayed throughout his life's journey. Preceding him was his first wife, Karen Reinhardt McKee, and brother, Wayne McKee. He is survived by his wife, Maudeane Taunton McKee, his children Gregory and Tami Mckee, Gayle McKee Scott and Bryon Scott, step-children Elaine and Allen Furr, Daniel and Diana Weil, and 7 grandchildren. He served as Pastor and Outreach Pastor for Community of Christ Church in Boise and California, was a member of Boise Bench Pastor's Association, and served as Volunteer supervisor for 18 years with the St. Vincent de Paul's Community Thanksgiving Project among other volunteer service. In lieu of flowers the family requests consideration of donations to St. Vincent de Paul Boise.

Dick was one of my grandparents favorite people. They´d bring loved him very much. After we lost my grandpa, Dick and Maudene would often visit my grandmother at Grace assisted living and bring her coffee and balloons.

Dick is one of those rare men that you know in 5 minutes is special and embodies God's grace here on earth. He was kind to this flyfisherman who traveled through Boise to get to my streams. I was blessed to stay with Dick and Maudeane on one particular fishing trip where we got to talk about more than catching fish, cars, growing up in California, and campers. There is a new name written down in glory.
