Ricky Croft Obituary

Ricky (Rick) Dale Croft, age 53 of Boise, joined his parents in heaven on August 16,2010. Rick was born July 2, 1957 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to LeRoy and Bessy (Rinker) Croft. Please join his family and friends in a celebration of his life at Municipal Park, Burr Oak picnic area, at 11:00 Friday August 20, 2010. Please bring a potluck dish, fond memories, and pictures to share with his family. If you have a motorcycle please ride it to the celebration so Rick can hear us throwing a party for him. Rick is survived by his wife of seven years Sue Croft of Boise, his son Alex Croft (Danielle) of Boise, whom he loved more than anything in the world. He is also survived by his four bothers Dennis (Dorothy) Croft, Larry (Cynthia) Croft, David Croft, Darrel Croft, and his sister Joanne Croft, as well as a large group of nieces and nephews that will miss his hugs and kisses. Rick was an avid hunter, fisherman, and was working on his golf game. He loved to spend time in the outdoors in hunting camp, and on his brother and sister-in-laws boat. Fond memories were made when we would put the camper on the truck and hit the road for the mountains with is wife, son, family, and friends. His passion was to dutch oven cook, and was always wowing crowds with is great beans. Rick loved to work on, ride, and polish up his Harley. You would often see him and Sue with their hair blowing in the wind riding around town. He looked forward to the weekends he could take off with his son and ride. You could never find Rick just sitting still, he had to be working on a project. Rick graduated from Skyline High School, in Idaho Falls, Idaho and moved to Boise in 1983 and married JulieKer and had their son Alex and was later divorced. He started his work as a parts man for many different truck shops in the valley and, was currently working at Smith Power Products as a Parts Manager and will be greatly missed by all who worked with him. Rick's heart was always bigger than his body and he left a smile on everyone's face that he came in contact with. Rick was a registered donor on his divers license, and graciously will continue to help those around him even in his untimely death.

Dearest Sue, you and Rick are two of the sweetest, kindest, genuine people I've had the pleasure of knowing. Ricks contagious smile and laugh will surely be missed by all the hearts he touched. Many things in life are uncertain, but one thing that is, was the love he had for you and all that love overflowed to others as well. There could never be a question of his sincerity. May he be in peace, and may God take your hand and walk you through.
All our Love, Joey and Kacey Carr

To Rick's family and friends: I remember Rick very fondly from growing up in Idaho Falls and spending many enjoyable hours in his company and that of Joanne, Kevin Best, and Jeff Smith.

I lost touch with Rick over the years, but am so happy to see the many who loved and cared with and for him on this site.

Rick RIP and godspeed. My thoughts, sympathy, and prayers go out to you and yours with your loss.

I won't be able to make the celebration of Rick's life this week, but will be there in spirit and raise an empty glass to celebrate a missing soul.

best....

Sue
Our deepest sympathies for what you must be going through right now.
Knowing Rick for even the short time we did has been a privelage. I'm just glad I got to see him last week on my visit to Boise and talk a little huntin' with him before the tragedy. A good man who everyone seemed to love, and one who could become your friend in very short time.
God bless and good luck
Gary and Cindy

We're so very shocked. Many years ago in Idaho Falls Rick, Dale Hartwell, myself and many other ran around together. Then our business relationship brought us back in touch with each other many years later. I looked forward to our weekly visits going into Ricks work and talking about fishing, riding and the ol' days of Idaho Falls. I'm so sorry for your loss!! Rick was such a vibrant person, that will live in us all forever. He so loved you all. Every story he told was based around his friends and family.
Thoughts are with you Sue, Alex and everyone that was lucky enough to know this man as he was the BEST.
