Ruby Hunter

Ruby Louise Hunter (Mills), 72, of Boise, ID, passed away on January 3, 2026. She was born in Hood River, OR, on January 19, 1953, to the late Foy L. and Arletta L. Mills (Nemchick).

Ruby was the beloved wife of the late Glen D. Hunter, whom she married on February 9, 1973 in Boise, ID. She was a loving mother to her son, Robert S. Hunter, his wife Brandy L. Hunter, and a loving grandmother to Austin R. Hunter and Roary A. Hunter.

She is survived by her brothers, Wesley Mills and his spouse Tina, and Troy Mills and his spouse Shannon. She also leaves behind several loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Melvin Courtwright and Glenn Mills, and her sister, Velva Wheeler (Mills).

A woman who cherished the simple beauties of life, Ruby found immense joy in the great outdoors. She loved camping, fishing, and simply breathing in the "fresh air". Her love for nature was matched only by her love for animals, especially birds, horses and the mythical unicorn. Her love for her family was deep and unwavering.

Ruby's warm spirit, kind heart and big smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
